At Timberline Animal Hospital, we are committed to diagnosing, treating, and monitoring any health conditions your pet may have. Commonly diagnosed medical problems such as diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, and thyroid disease can be treated with the most current medical or surgical procedures. Dr. Pulver and his staff will work closely with you to diagnose your pet's condition and establish a specific treatment plan for a swift recovery.

Dermatology at Timberline Animal Hospital

We understand that skin problems can be very frustrating for both you and your pet.  At Timberline Animal Hospital, we commonly manage and treat a variety of dermatologic conditions such as food and inhalants allergies, parasites (mites, fleas), skin or ear infections, endocrine (hormonal, such as hypothyroidism) diseases, and skin cancer. 

If your pet is exhibiting any of these symptoms, please call us for an appointment:

  • Continuous scratching
  • Face rubbing
  • Excessive licking of feet, legs, and abdomen
  • Hair loss
  • Recurring skin infections
  • Chronic anal sac problems
  • Biting and chewing at the skin

Ophthalmology at Timberline Animal Hospital

At Timberline Animal Hospital, we can diagnose and treat eye conditions in your pet. Our hospital is equipped to treat ophthalmological conditions such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal degeneration, eyelid disorders, and corneal and ocular trauma. Although cats and dogs may exhibit signs differently, the following is a list of common symptoms to watch for regarding your pet’s ocular health:

  • Squinting or holding eye(s) shut
  • Scratching or rubbing at eye(s)
  • Swelling of the eye(s) or eyelid(s)
  • Green or yellow discharge
  • A change in color, especially cloudiness or redness

The following symptoms are extremely serious and considered an emergency:

  • A very red eye
  • A cloudy or blue eye
  • Bleeding in the eye
  • Blood coming from the eye
  • Foreign object in the eye
  • Severe squinting
  • Swelling of the eye or lids
  • Bulging of the eye itself
  • Sudden trauma to the eye
